“Elementz” established a strong foundation in music as he grew up in a home where his parents were avid listeners of many genres. While in high school he discovered the program Virtual DJ which allowed him to mix and manipulate songs and spent the summer of 2009 listening to the radio and practicing using this software tool hoping that someday he would be able to play on the radio.
The young DJ started producing mixtapes which he distributed via social media amongst his peers and through this movement he was able specialize in remixing. Held on March 29th 2013 was the annual ‘King of the Vibz Competition’ hosted by Vibz 92.9FM, the most notable DJ competition on island, and Elementz entered this competition and won even though MC-ing was out of his comfort zone. He was then offered a spot at Vibz 92.9FM and continues to work there. His fan base has increased globally since this accomplishment and DJ Elementz looks forward to doing greater things with their support and encouragement.
